Berdj is a retired criminal lawyer who worked exclusively as a Federal prosecutor in Melbourne, Australia. He has significantly contributed to his community both professionally as well as through community based, volunteer work. Berdj has been an active member of the Armenian community in Victoria and has served as a committee member of the Melbourne Chapter of the Armenian General Benevolent Union (AGBU) for over 25 years.
