AGBU Scholarships

Whether you’re an undergraduate or a graduate, AGBU provides a variety of funding opportunities for students. You can only apply to one scholarship category per year. Check the specifications for each on their website.

  • Level: Graduate + Undergraduate

  • Award Amount: Between $1000 – $7,500

Armenian Studies Scholarship

Candidates need to be admitted to or already pursuing a Master or PhD degree or a Post Doc focusing on contemporary subjects from social science perspectives related to Armenians in an internationally recognized institution of higher education, in the academic year for which the scholarship is being applied to.

  • Level: Graduate + Doctorate
  • Deadline: May 15, 2025
  • Award Amount: Varies by location and study level

Higher Education Scholarships for Developing Countries

  • Level: Undergraduates aged 25 or under from developing countries (Middle East)
  • Deadline: June 30, 2025
  • Award Amount: 4,000 EUR

Armenian International Women’s Scholarships

AIWA scholarships provide a unique opportunity for donors to remember loved ones while at the same time providing much-needed financial assistance and recognition to young women preparing for their careers and professions. Students entering their junior or senior year in college, as well as graduate students, are eligible to apply. Awards are based on financial need and merit.

  • Level: Students must be entering their 3rd or 4th year of undergraduate education (must have completed two years of post-secondary education) or be a graduate student in the academic year 2025-2026.
  • Deadline: April 18, 2025

H. Hovnanian Family Foundation Armenian Fellowship for International Conferences and Events

The focus of these grants is specifically on individuals who aim to showcase their expertise by presenting their works and creations at competitions, exhibitions, conferences, seminars, or other notable forums, providing a valuable opportunity for them to gain international recognition and contribute globally in their respective fields.

Applicants are considered based on academic achievement and/or work experience, third-party recommendations, evidence of the applicant’s motivation, standing, character, ability and potential.
